Foundation Year Doctors

All Foundation Year Doctors based at London Trusts receive one full day of high fidelity simulation training per year.  Often delivered alongside nursing staff, this programme gives trainees an unique opportunity to rehearse clinical skills and learn communication, leadership and teamwork amongst an inter-professional team.  It also allows you to gain a greater understand of your own performance and how human factors affect us all.

The training is expensive to run and so simulation centres are only able to offer places to the number of trainees they have responsibility for.  It is therefore your responsibility to ensure you attend on the date provided.  You must attend training at the simulation centre which has been funded to train your Trust’s trainees.

The following list confirms where each Trust’s trainees are scheduled to attend simulation training.  Training is run at a Trust level so contact your Foundation administrator for more information.
