The 3rd Annual London Psychiatry Trainee Conference took place in The Cumberland Hotel Marble Arch on 3 November 2010. The event was attended by over 250 London psychiatry trainees as well as 50 London medical students.
The event focused on ‘The Art of Psychiatry’ and explored how the creative arts can be used to better understand psychiatric illness. Amongst the many speakers on the day were people with both medical and non-medical backgrounds and a diverse range of topics were discussed including poetry, literature and philosophy. Psychiatry trainees presented posters and talks and in the morning Ruby Wax and Judith Owen performed their show ‘Losing it’.
