Welcome to the Simulation and Technology-enhanced Learning Initiative (STeLI)

STeLI works with all three of London’s Local Education and Training Boards (LETBs) to support and promote the use of simulation-based training in healthcare.

Simulating scenarios both commonly and rarely found in healthcare practice allows medical and non-medical staff to develop and refine their skills in a patient safe environment.  It allows the rehearsal of both technical clinical skills and non-technical skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, as well as an understanding of human factors, patient empathy and crisis resource management.

Health Education North Central and East London, Health Education North West London and Health Education South London are supporting STeLI around London through the commissioning of simulation-based training programmes, the development of new faculty, the piloting of new initiatives and provision the simulation training resources now available in all of London’s secondary care and mental health Trusts is maintained.
